DISCLAIMER:
The opinions expressed here are those of folks that are part of Macon County Shared Vision, and do not represent the opinions of any employer or any entity related to any of our participants. They don't always represent a consensus of opinions from MCSV participants. It would be unfair to presume any opinion represents the views of any specific person or group of people. Opinions are written for enlightenment, and because there are matters about the vibrancy of Macon County that we care deeply about.
We have a couple of policies on updates. First, we will correct posts to fix obvious typographical errors without indicating that they have been updated. Second, we will note correcting updates when we have made a substantive error. If we were in error, we will muster the courage to correct our ways transparently. Third, we allow ourselves a short grace period to correct other errors in posts -- generally speaking, within an hour or perhaps a day on occasion. This is because we are sometimes rushed, but if we write a silly sentence and fix it quickly, we see no reason to confess.
Fourth, we welcome civil commenters, and hope to have many of them participate. However, it is our space, and if your comments are not in good faith we will delete them. Occasional expletives are allowed but not encouraged.
Comments are lightly moderated. We may occasionally delete a comment, but our failure to delete a comment should not be taken as an endorsement of that comment. We may well be as offended as you are. Generally, we will not tolerate personal attacks that are simply and only mean spirited. We also will delete posts that contain blatantly false information or promote someone for political office. Those that disagree or think that our facts or opinions are misguided, ARE WELCOME HERE.
Last, we encourage you to read our comments in context of the post, article or letter that is written. Some issues are complex and suggestions and opinions are best understood looking at the full context.
We try to get the facts straight. We welcome any observations of errors in facts and will note substantive errors if presented.
That's it for now. We hope you keep coming back!
